Good thing I'm a dark matter particle. Umm, which cupboard is the grapefruit of destiny in? I've been looking for it for a while now. Breakfast just isn't the same without a fresh squeezed cup of destiny to wash it all down with.
I thoroughly enjoy these videos lol. Also always love looking at the books on the shelf behind you. I actually just started Daughter of Smoke and Bone, any good?
Ah! We've already discussed the fact that an awesome novel is coming out of your absence, but you've caused all of us to have Karsten Vlog withdrawals! So thank you for pacifying us with pink songs, cryptid grapefruits, and water treating English majors. Love it!
I thought I'd finally comment on your blog, as it's somewhat timely since I have to write up a blog post about my thoughts on your book by tomorrow and midnight.
I'm an AP Language student here in MA and I was given a copy of Wildefire by my boss for my seventeenth birthday. When we were told that our next book would be 'Reader's Choice' I thought "Why not? It looks interesting enough." Try to take this as a compliment, but after reading the prologue and turning to the back cover to read 'About the Author', I was surprised to find you were a man (that is to say, your third person narrative of a teenage volcano goddess is very believable-- nice work.)
Look forward to a full blown critique of the novel with some recycled material from this blog comment.
Also please note that I placed my book mark at pages 196 and 197, the center of the book. And after watching your video of 10 Things That May Surprise You About Wildefire, needless to say, I was amused.
Well I'm off to hide in a dark room with a flashlight for mood lighting as I finish the other half of this novel by tomorrow at 11 PM to give me time to post a blog about it. Peace.
I just finished reading and blogging about Wildefire, and the first thing I did was search for when the next book will be released. I got so into the characters' unique and quirky voices, and after watching this vlog - it all makes sense! Here's a link to my review: http://readersdialogue.blogspot.com/2011/12/wildefire.html
I finished reading your book about five minutes ago. I was wondering how the characters have all these funny comebacks/witty remarks, and then I saw your video.
Welcome back!
ReplyDeleteLOL... But I didn't hear you say "snealthily" at all.

Dude. If this writing thing doesn't pan out, you've got yourself a bright career in stand-up comedy.

Also, I'm pretty sure it's "cupboard", Karsten. GEEZ.
Shut up, Rick. It's an art-house film so the misspelling was meant to be ironic. Yeah, that's right.
