  1. OMG LOL - so funny! You could totally be in the Thriller video with some of those moves, well a re-make anyway ;o)

You are truly brave, sir. And I'm glad.

  3. The caffeinated man. Hah!! That was great. You are a true sport.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Hehehehe! No you did not do a little circle during your single ladies dance.

The Thriller Kitten Roar and the Martini, Shaken not Stirred...LMAO

I can wait to post this to my peeps tomorrow.

  10. Based purely on this video, I am both scarred for life, following your blog (and no doubt twitter as soon as I log in *sigh), looking forward to your book, AND I have Thriller stuck in my head.

    I HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY.

  11. I was prepared to cringe. But that was pretty funny. Good stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  12. All I have to say is...

"No body puts Baby in the corner."

    Black tank. I'm a B.A. attitude. I die.

  13. There are no words, Karsten. I am humbled by your dancing genius.

    ReplyDelete
  14. LMAO!!!!!!!!!! Brilliant! That's all I have to say!

Roll on 200 followers, can't wait to see what you come up with next :o)

    ReplyDelete
  15. Oh my gosh, I so needed that fit of laughter. Thank you! My fav is the Kitty Cat Roar. Awesome Karsten.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Ohmigod, that was awesome and hilarious. You got some moves, man!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Ironically enough, I watched this while sitting in the cafe at the School of American Ballet at Lincoln Center, surrounded by ballet dancers--who probably wondered why the lady with the laptop and earphones was laughing ridiculously loudly. You rock, Karsten!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Awesome! I noticed that most of the folks leaving comments are women. You are missing your core audience. Unless maybe all the guys are too busy practicing their new moves.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Karsten's milkshake brings all the girls to the yard.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Scott, is that a proposal for the 200 Followers Contest?

    ReplyDelete
  21. So much better than I could have imagined--vlog babies, Baby! Vlog babies!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Karsten - I'm emotionally scarred after watching this. I don't think I could handle you covering Kelis.

    The therapy bills alone!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Hee! That was hilariously well done!
The Thriller moves were my favorite.
Hmmmm for the 200 maybe you can belly dance? Breakdance? Poledance? ;)

    ReplyDelete
  24. Well, there are times in life I know that looking at a thing will end badly, end in something I cannot un-see. But we look anyway. (gaper factor)
I was prepared for this to be one of those moments.

Alas, you went all professional on us. You even used your 'radio voice'. (well done)

I think there must be an outtake reel...I wanna see that version.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Lola, re: a blooper reel, I definitely fell over a chair doing the Thriller shimmy, slide & clap.

    ReplyDelete
  26. KK, you OWN the saddle-up. in fact, you own the whole "Country" segment. you are a worthy follow. Hi. Larious. Made my otherwise rather serious day.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Whoa. I am...uh...speechless for once in my life.

That was so epic, people will be referring to it as you're introduced as a panelist at a writers conference ten years from now.

    Pure awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  28. OMG! I laughed so hard I was crying! Motor booty! Kitty roar! *YAAAAAAAAY*

    ReplyDelete
  29. ahahahahahaha... Karsten, you freaking rock!

And as someone who danced practically her whole life, I'm very very impressed =)

    ReplyDelete
  30. That is seriously too funny! So when is round 2?

    ReplyDelete
  31. I loved this so much I showed it to my son. Our favorite move was the "roar kitty cat, roar" move. I'm sure my son will be incorporating that into his own happy dances from now on :)

    ReplyDelete
  32. SOOOOO disappointed there was no KNOTB or Kenny Loggins. What era did you grow up in?

Awesome job with attracting the followers!

    ReplyDelete
  33. ::can't stop giggling:: Karsten that was simply fabulous. No seriously, you are such a great sport to be doing that! ::watches some more, falls over laughing:: Though now I have that blasted song in my head...so worth it...

Out of morbid curiosity, is anyone in RL thinking you're a nut?

    ReplyDelete
  34. this surely won't look good in your writer's biography one day :)

    ReplyDelete
  35. You are my hero. I haven't laughed so much in a long time. :D

    ReplyDelete
  36. I am SO glad I followed your blog! This is pure genius!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Now I know who broke the Twitter. ROFL

    ReplyDelete
  38. Wow...I thought you were full of it. I sit corrected. That was funny and you look gooood.

what'll you do for 200 followers? Hmmmm?

    ReplyDelete
  39. I am now your 120th follower. THAT was fantastic!

    ReplyDelete
  40. P.S. Your website is awesome! I love looking at a good website.

    ReplyDelete
  41. FABOOSH! My husband must watch this so that he can learn real man moves. I especially like the Roar, Kitty, Roar part.
My question for you is this...
    was it worth it???

    ReplyDelete
  42. This is pure genius.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Tonight my son spontaneously did "jazz hands", while quoting your "real men do jazz hands" line. You might start a trend at the local high school :)

    ReplyDelete
  44. Wow, I go away for one day, and look at all the nice comments! Thanks everyone :-)

And Suzi, if I can popularize jazz hands as a form of manly high school greeting, then I will consider my life's opus complete.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Oh goodness! I'm a fan of "The Kitty Cat." You really got into that move! Ba ha ha!

    ReplyDelete
  46. So, okay,

    1. Thanks for taking my advice. Jazz hands make everything better.
    2. Thank you for not taking my advice. Because it turns out leotards on men are not sexy. I gave Little Jonas' Single Ladies video a second look. My eyes are burning.
    3. Will you please do an instructional dance video for women? I'm going dancing this weekend, see. And I'm a little concerned I might get it wrong. Please do it by Friday. That will give me at least a day to practice my moves. And please take into consideration that I will be on a bull. That might affect things. Many thanks in advance. You do your video, and I will reward you by making a video of my bull dancing. Just so you can see how good of a teacher you are.

Yes. You may consider that a challenge. Bring it.

    ReplyDelete
  47. And by reward, I sort of meant punish. Please don't actually make an instructional dance video for women. I have returned to lucidity. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  48. LMAO! This was great, and I've also made a side note to never watch one your vlogs while drinking water because I will start to choke.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Carolina Valdez Miller directed me over here (actually I am in her living room and we just watched it) and HOLY HILARIOUS!!!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  50. Also, was websitestalking you, and how awesome is Sabriel??

    ReplyDelete
  51. Smile still plastered all over my face. That was hilarious, and you have no fear. The chicken-wing two-step and Thriller slide are epic. Followed Carolina's link and am so glad I did, I'm gonna follow you.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Well, the 10 minutes of professional experience really showed! That was awesome - so much fun.

    I popped over from Carol's blog & am now a follower :)

    ReplyDelete
  53. I popped over from Carol's blog and am now a follower, too! Thanks for that video, I'm still smiling. Maybe you can give my husband lessons? Just kidding, honey! :)

    ReplyDelete
  54. I am linking to this from my blog. I can't keep this to myself!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Carol has linked this site to her blog. Excuse me while I put my eye back in. Well, that's better now. Although I do still have a stitch in my side that is painful. You can count me as follower 127. I can't wait to see what you do next. If you write as well as you dance, this is going to be an interesting experience. Not good, but interesting. As for clubbing it, my recommendation is that you not dance. Buy a girl a drink and talk. If you can write, you gotta be able to talk;-) Slow dance only. Definitely don't show her the kitty roar move.

  56. Hi - I'm a new follower, and I honestly can't tell you which blog I came from, because you seem to be everywhere!

This was absolutely hilarious - I can't wait to see what you do for 200!

I'm hooked, anyone this brave deserves to be followed :)

    ReplyDelete
  57. Sill makes me laugh. There's an award for you over on my blog.

    ReplyDelete
  58. LOL! I came over here from Susan Field's blog, and that was great! I'm still laughing over the single ladies exhibition.

    ReplyDelete
  59. The motorboat booty wins by a landslide! :)
You should come to my dance studio and teach a class or two. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  60. Karen, I don't know if your students are ready for the motorbooty. You need a license to operate this thing.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I could tell despite the subterfuge you are actually a good dancer! Thanks for starting out my morning with a coffee-spewing laugh

    ReplyDelete
  62. Wow! That was ridiculously awesome. You made my Tuesday.

    ReplyDelete
  63. What a coincidence.. I've also been a professional dancer for 10 minutes... ;) Awesome video, you're hysterical!

    ReplyDelete
  64. This is a perfect example of a vlog done right. Bravo on making me laugh! I only wish I could dance as well as you can. And may I say congratulations on getting your book published!

The rest of your blog is super-awesome fabulous too! I'll definitely be back for more. ;]

    ReplyDelete
  65. You are officially my dancing hero.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I just want to thank everyone who made that video possible. I'm cryin'....

    ReplyDelete
  67. Wow. You actually found a way to incorporate jazz hands.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Falls off chair hahahahaha!!! All your videos crack me up. And the motorboat booty!! haha hilarious.
