Past my prime, but I ain't no Hack(y sack)

Ask yourself: is this just a video of me playing hacky sack to AC/DC? Or is this the moving story of an athlete making an epic comeback to the sport he once loved, long after his prime?

Yep, it's just the first.

When I was a senior in high school, I literally played so much that I wrote my college admissions essay on hacky sack. I'll have to dig that up for a future blog post...

As if you needed further proof that I never vlog about writing.

  1. Twenty-six is definitely not old, as I keep telling a friend of mine. It if was, then turning 24 on Wednesday would make me old as well. D:! Nice job with the hacky sack by the way.

    Happy belated birthday.

  2. Wow. I have not played hacky sack since high school, and I was horrible at it! No one wanted to even come near me because I'd end up kicking them, kicking the sack in their face, or sometimes managing to do those things to myself.

I turn 26 at the end of the month, and I had a mild freak out at the thought of technically being in my 'late-twenties' until a friend told me I'm still mid-twenties so I'm cool with it.

  4. Regina - I had the EXACT same thought! LMAO

Karsten - You're not allowed to freak out that you're old until your 30. Or when you start (God forbid) balding. Whichever comes first :)

  5. That's just awesome! I am athletically challenged in every way so your hacky sack skills are far superior to any attempt I've ever made.

    Thanks for the laugh!

  7. Hey now, you can't say 26 is old. We're the same age and I already had my I'm-getting-old moment in February. Let's just say mid-twenties until we hit 28.

ps-How did you write an admissions essay on Hackysack?! lol

  9. Totally impressed. I know what you mean about age, though. I'm 27 now, but when I turned 25, I thought the world was going to end.

Oh dear Lord! I'm half a century already. And in 5 years, I'll be 30!!!

I might as well throw in the towel... :)

  11. Your blog's so random but I love it! Just found it. I'm turning 26 this year too. I feel your pain and I feel old too. Maybe that's why I'm so stuck on YA, I don't want to face growing up!
