Vlog #10: Karsten Impersonates a Unicorn

Plotting isn't the most thrilling of topics, but I promise if you suffer through the dry intro, the video eventually contains tantrums, dancing, and, yes, dancing.

And sorry for the sound volume disparity--I still haven't mastered this new webcam. Grrrrrrrr. Does anyone remember the SNL skits with Will Ferrell about Voice Immodulation?

  1. Thank you, Karsten. THE perfect break in a busy writing/blogging/planning morning.

And, wow, an Excel spread sheet. Making real what I've kinda been doing in my head. I'll try it out.

  3. I'm so with you on the cool chapter titles, and I've always wondered why more authors don't do it. Laziness?

  4. You are one totally organized unicorn! I'm impressed. Pantster that I am, I don't know that I could allow myself to be that organized.

  5. Excellent video, Karsten. Nice title hook, too. Made me keep watching all the way to the end of the vlog!

  6. I like the spreadsheet and bullet points idea. I've been meaning to pick about my chapters and lay it all out there to see at once. Good tips and as usual good dancing.

  7. Most important! Always celebrate writing sentences with cocktails :)

Also, have we discussed this yet? You're from Boston? I LOVE BOSTON! Do you ever eat at Kingfish Hall? I had the best meal of my life there, basically.

  8. Wow. I...just don't what to say.

Between the educationality of this video and the entertainment value, I think you rock!

    Also, plotting is evil.

  9. Um, so, no dancing? Well then. *Adjusts to new Karsten* *Likes the sound of cocktails* *Especially after writing two lines* *I should stop using asterisks* *They don't make sense any more* *P.S. I have never laid my chapters out on excel like that.* *You are brilliance* *Yes, I meant you are the noun*
